Travelling abroad has never been more common, but do you know the right emergency number to call in the country you’re visiting? Z-KUR removes that uncertainty entirely.

Z-KUR includes emergency numbers for every country worldwide, connecting you instantly to local PSAP services (112, 911, and all equivalents).

And we will allow you to introduce the emergency numbers of the surrounding hospitals in countries** without a PSAP.

Recruiting FAUs

Automatically Detecting Incidents

Because the closest ones to an accident are ourselves.

Because we don’t need any First-Aid certification to unfasten a seatbelt.

We will recruit 2 persons from our community (so called FAUs*) who accepted the mission, to send them to the accident site to confirm the situation, recognize the persons involved (if multiple persons of the same family are involved in a mutual accident) and eventually provide first aid gesture, while needed and if the FAU and Kurator agree to do so.

*FAUs = First-Aid users

We will send 2 FAUs because two brains are always better than one. One provides immediate first-aid support,
while the other connects with the Kurator via video conference for expert guidance.

In an emergency, the right information in the right hands saves lives. Z-KUR’s secure platform protects your sensitive personal and health data — sharing it only with your Kurator during an active emergency.

Child App

At Z-KUR, every life matters. Our global emergency app extends the same protection to children as it does to adults — with a dedicated Child App designed specifically for minors.

If your child has a smartphone, or if you would like to provide them with one to keep them safe, we offer you an application for minors. This application will act as a sensor on the child’s smartphone to optimise his or her own safety, whether through automatic accident detection, the provision of services by our Kurators, or simply securing your child’s sensitive data.

As always, the key to our solution is respect and protection for each other. In the case of minors, this respect must be based on various rules to ensure the peace of mind of everyone and, above all, respect for the privacy of your children themselves.

As an example, a child should not be responsible for complex or sensitive information: Minor child App will be fully managed from parents App.

In the same way, when a parent modifies a child’s sensitive data, both parents will be always informed.

Obviously, we will not be relying on minors to come to the assistance of unknown (FAU function not available to children).

However, because the most beautiful stories are those in which our toddlers have saved a parent’s life, we will allow our minor customers to be able to alert the emergency services via our Kurators to help them relay any information in the best possible way, so that they can keep their family safe, whatever country they are in, whether it’s their country of residence or a travel destination.

Launching disappearance alerts

When a family member goes missing, every second counts. Z-KUR’s emergency alert app lets you trigger a disappearance alert instantly, notifying both your community network and emergency services simultaneously.

While introducing your family network, you will already gather numerous useful information to rapidly send disappearance alerts to our community as well as to emergency services.

You will then be able to devote yourself entirely to the search for your beloved ones.

Notifications to Teach and Train all of us

Nobody is born prepared for an emergency — but Z-KUR’s safety app trains you. Our medical team delivers regular in-app guidance so that when it matters, you’re confident and ready to act. 

Our medical team will regularly teach/train you to make you more confident in front of any emergency situation & to help you being confident with your App.

Training is the only way to become more efficient in front of emergency situations.

Family Network Protection — Even If You're Unconscious

Because an incident can involve more than yourself.

In the Family Network section, add family members who might be with you during an incident — road accidents, sports events, shared travel. Z-KUR pushes their details to FAUs and Kurators so everyone gets the right help, fast. 

We will push their photo and first name to the recruited FAUs to enable them to recognize the individuals involved and thus inform our Z-KUR agent (Kurator).

From there, our agent will have access to their data to inform the PSAP* of any useful information (such as an allergy to a medication) to send the most appropriate ambulance.

Informing emergency services

Emergency services need more than a location pin, they need context. Z-KUR’s trained Kurators relay your situation, force of incident, location status, and personal health details directly to emergency services via a secure, dedicated channel. 

Our Z-KUR agent (Kurator) will get a direct and highly secured access to your situation through our call-centre module, to be able to relay any useful information to the PSAP services and thus the emergency services on the ground to optimize your chances of being rescued.

Contacting Family & Friends (F&F)

Not every emergency needs an ambulance. Sometimes a trusted family member or friend is the fastest and most appropriate response. Z-KUR’s family network alerts the right person, at the right time — so you always have someone on their way. 

When necessary, we will propose you to rather contact your F&F than the emergency services.

Recruiting FAUs

Because Emergency services are overwhelmed.

Because some situations do not require an ambulance but simply to be brought to the hospital.

Because elderly people regularly prefer not to annoy our public services and rather prefer that a F&F comes to Home.

When necessary, we will propose you to rather contact your F&F than the emergency services.

Opening your door in case of domestic accident

Because Emergency services can be at Home in 5′ in some countries, but it will take up to 30′ to open your door if you are unconscious or unable to open the door.

In a domestic accident, Z-KUR’s emergency alert app contacts a trusted key holder from your family network to open your door — so first responders can reach you without delay.  This F&F will be the third person to be recruited (2 FAUs + 1 F&F) in case of domestic accident.

If this F&F possesses an App, our Z-KUR agent (Kurator) will know immediately where he is located to adapt his decisions accordingly to the situation.

*Identities of the key holders are highly secured in our system, **PSAP = Public Safety Answering Point or 112/911.

Automatic detection of incidents

Your smartphone already carries the sensors needed to detect an emergency. Z-KUR’s personal safety app uses those sensors to automatically recognise falls, crashes, and sports accidents — then alerts your the Kurator immediately, even if you’re unconscious.

Based on our algorithms, we are able to recognise between 10 and 70% of previously ignored situations!!

It is already better than ever and our R&D team is working hardly to push forward our automatic detections to another level!

We will thus be able to inform the emergency services of a situation, even if you are unconscious!!!

Call Centre / Kurator

24/7 Kurator Support, Real Humans, Always On

Your Kurator monitors your situation in real time, coordinates FAUs and key holders, provides first-aid guidance by video to those on the ground, and communicates directly with emergency services — so you never face a crisis alone. 

To follow in real time the situation including the arrival of First-Aid Users and Family & Friends to open your door in case of domestic accident.

To follow your event through automated algorithms to speed up the process to secure you and your loved ones. Our agents will be able to provide first-aid advice to the people surrounding you (FAU, F&F) while waiting for the emergency services.

Our agents will access to your sensitive information through our highly secured platform to provide useful ones to emergency services, including in developing countries.

PSAP

In countries where a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP: 911, 112, …) is available, our agents will directly transfer your details to allow their emergency teams to optimize your rescue and bring you to the Hospital.

FAQs

Does Z-KUR work if I don't have mobile signal or internet access?

Z-KUR requires a mobile data or WiFi connection to communicate with our Kurators and emergency services. We recommend ensuring roaming data is enabled when travelling abroad. If you’re heading into remote areas with limited coverage, we recommend also carrying a backup communication method. 

What if I trigger the SOS by accident?

Z-KUR includes a confirmation step after an SOS is triggered, giving you a short window to cancel the alert before our Kurators are notified. If an alert does go through accidentally, simply inform the Kurator immediately; they will log it as a false alarm, and no emergency services will be dispatched unnecessarily. 

Who are the community first-aiders (FAUs) and are they trained?

FAUs (First-Aid Users) are Z-KUR community members who have opted in to assist in emergencies near them. They are not required to hold formal first-aid qualifications — their role is to reach the scene quickly, confirm the situation, and provide basic assistance such as unfastening a seatbelt or opening a door. Two FAUs are always dispatched together, with one remaining in video contact with a trained Kurator throughout for expert guidance.
